Guy Stuff at Guys Clubhouse

So, half my life or so was spent as a photographer. I’ve shot a few hundred weddings. I managed a studio when I was 26.  After leaving that job, I moved on to something else, but still kept up the photography on the side.  I’ve actually made a fair buck over the years. I opened and ran my own studio for about 5 years. After closing the studio, I continued the photography making money here and there. I’ve quit the business now for many reasons, however I noticed Walmart in Midland Ontario Canada Photo Studio, was hiring. Now we all know Walmart just does “fast food photography”, but I had some time on my hands and decided to apply. I handed my resume to the woman there and let her know I have a portfolio for the manager to look at. She informed me that I wouldn’t need it because they have ” their own set up” and it didn’t matter. Can you imagine, a photo studio of any kind not caring about a portfolio! I thanked the “not-a-photographer” and left. You would think I’d have gotten an interview? A phone call perhaps? I got shit is what I got. It is so funny that with all these years under my belt as a real photographer, that Walmart in Midland Ontario Canada, wouldn’t even call me! Maybe sad is what I mean! I understand the  Walmart, “photo studio  manager ” in Midland Ontatrio Canada, probably felt threatened by someone who actually knows something about photography and running a studio, but please..  not even a call!!..lol. Oh well, you guys enjoy the ” not a photographer” there,  I wouldn’t like the new drive through studios anyway.

Bikers eat your heart out. Top down, doors off, foot hanging out the door with no helmut and the wind in my hair.  Now this is freedom!

I was hoping she’d hate it but no such luck. Well, I get to drive it sometimes. She’s so sweet to share!

Well, what a waste of time that was. 20 minutes of my life shot all to hell never to be regained.
He spent 5 minutes talking about the spill then tried to simply distract everyone with talk of “new energy”. How about telling the people what the cleanup plan is or will be. He put a 6 month moratorium on deep water drilling. I’d think it would be a one or two year moratorium considering the damage done. Even the space shuttle was grounded for a couple of years and that wasn’t half the disaster this has become! Drilling will resume long before this mess is cleaned up. Thank the lord I don’t live in that country.

I can tell you all that I hate Windows.  Windows 95, man that was great. I refuse to move on to windows 7. Why you ask. It is so slow compared to whatever, pick something.  I will continue to use XP until I can find something better, which I’m sure I’ll find quite soon. Lets face it, developers can’t possibly find it very hard to make something better. Windows is now a bloated piece of something that checks with Dad before you can change anything. This will be the last windows I ever use. And I’m not just saying that, I mean it.
