Ok, I know. I got a great deal on a bike at a yard sale last summer. Here’s the trouble. After riding Jan’s new bike with all the shocks and stuff, I was ruined and needed something better. So, off to the local retailer I went. This bike I purchased quite cheep. It’s a regular $400 and on sale for $179.00. It came out to $208 with tax, and I put $50.00 in points from my credit card down on it. I walked away with the bike for a total of $158.00. The bike is great, however the assembly of my new wheels from Canadian Tire sucked! Anyway, after adjusting everything front to back, and I mean everything, (espescially the front brake, which was bending the disc so badly I’m surprised it didn’t shatter) I’m now quite happy with the bike. For $158 bucks and me being a bit of a wrench monkey, I didn’t really mind fixing all the assembly errors. Now, if I were paying the $400.00, I’d be shopping elsewhere.
