Guy Stuff at Guys Clubhouse

Well, what a waste of time that was. 20 minutes of my life shot all to hell never to be regained.
He spent 5 minutes talking about the spill then tried to simply distract everyone with talk of “new energy”. How about telling the people what the cleanup plan is or will be. He put a 6 month moratorium on deep water drilling. I’d think it would be a one or two year moratorium considering the damage done. Even the space shuttle was grounded for a couple of years and that wasn’t half the disaster this has become! Drilling will resume long before this mess is cleaned up. Thank the lord I don’t live in that country.

Yesterday a bird flew into the window of the garage, didn’t die, but hurt it’s neck. He could only run in a circle to the left. That was because he couldn’t look the other way so circles was the best he could do.  I figured I’d grab a box, catch him and help the little guy. By the time I got back he’d made his way out to the driveway and was sitting at the tire of the car. He was all cute and tiny. With his little fluffy feathers and the cutest little face. I remembered  I may have a bird cage out back. I could nurse my new little friend back to health and then, when he’s better, holding him cupped in my hands, raise my arms to the wind, and release him back to nature.

I set my box down in front of him, and said in the softest voice, “shew little “Feather” ( I named him Feather) shew”.  ”Feather” decided to hop under the car flapping his little wings all the way and avoided the box completely. Now he’s pissing me off. Can’t the little bastard  see I’m just trying to help!!  Anyway, I stood back up just in time to see a cat dart under the car and by the time I bent back down, “Feather” and the cat were gone!! Clearly little “Feather” had recovered and flown  away. The cat, he was just chasing something who knows what. Nature is a wonderful thing, always fare and just.
